Who is Talk Liberation?

We are a next generation software development house driven by the ethos that we all have a right to retain our privacy and control over our own data while participating in online communities, and that as individuals, our personal details are not for sale or to be extorted in return for the ‘privilege’ of using software platforms.

We now have scores of talented team members working in more than a dozen countries, but just a few short years ago we started out as a group of volunteers and IT nerds frustrated at how Big Tech was abusing our data and using social media to turn us from customers into commodities.

What are we bringing you?

We formed Talk Liberation to prove that there are ways to retain the best aspects of online communities while ensuring users retain their right to privacy. We build software that is not only more ethical and more user-centric, but that is also easier to use, more attractive, more functional and therefore more powerful. And we have done all of this without utilising any Big Tech services, cloud hosting, or AI tools which too often spy, experiment on, and exploit users. The initial solution we designed was our short messaging service, Panquake, currently being piloted in test net.

But while we were developing Panquake we realised that the negative influence of Big Tech has pervaded many aspects of what we do online, and that the thought process behind Panquake could be applied elsewhere - for businesses as well as for individuals - and so we kept innovating, designing and developing a suite of solutions that will transform the way that you use the internet and the way you communicate with other users, protecting both yourself and those you care about.

What's coming next?

We have products at every stage of the development life cycle - some we have already delivered, others are in delivery now, some are in development and not yet announced and others are in design phase.
